In a recent Truth Social post, Donald Trump announced that his first line of business after becoming president would be enacting the murkily-titled “Kill Political Enemies And Become God-King” order, and media members are curious as to what that would entail. “Is this a response to America’s desire to weed out corruption and bring God back into the public sphere?” David Brooks of the New York Times asked during an impromptu press conference at Mar-a-Lago. “This is actually a response to me desiring bloodshed and not having anyone standing in my way,” Trump responded causing Brooks to return to his crossword puzzle. Then is was CNN’s Brian Stelter’s turn, “When you say ‘god-king’ do you mean like how the president is basically the king of the executive branch but still remains safely under the check of Congress and SCOT–” however, before finishing he was gagged and shoved into an adjacent room where two loud pops could be heard. This caused a slight panic for the remaining journalists and they decided to end the presser early, unable to get clarity on what a second Trump term would look like.
Will Trump round up his political enemies and kill them one-by-one while claiming to be God’s earthly form, or will he adhere to the rule of law and honor the checks and balances that made this democracy great? Be wary of anyone who claims to have a crystal ball and tell you one or the other, as only time will tell.
