In Win For Consumers, Judge Orders Pharmaceutical Giant To “Please Stop Giving People Cancer, If Possible. No Worries If Not”

While most judges tend to roll over when faced with upsetting multinational corporations that have no qualms about killing large numbers of innocent people, this judge decided to hit the pharmaceutical giant right where it hurts: in the feels. “That’s why I wanted to send a message in no uncertain terms, ‘we’d really appreciate it if you stopped killing people. Or, failing that, kill slightly less of them after careful cost-benefit analyses are done,’ and I think that message was well received.”

After hearing the strong reprimand that sent audible gasps throughout the courtroom, representatives for the company briefly talked amongst themselves before saying they’d think about it, but at the end of the day killing people to save money and saving people to make money are basically the same thing to them. To which the judged agreed that their logic was sound and he absolutely understood their point of view. Also that they should disregard his initial plea and continue acting in whatever way they see fit.

Later, after several minutes of laughter, they informed the judge that that’s exactly what they were going to do but it was actually very cute that he thought his opinion would alter even the slightest action the company would take.
